A Story About Her..

She is CY. First year student in UTM but I couldn't remember what course is she taking. A great opportunity given to know her as we were spreading the "seed" 2 months ago in her kolej and she was one of them. She hasn't accept Christ even until now, but she is in my affinity group.

2 weeks ago, when Fishy and I plan to have our "rice cooker cake baking" time with our affinity group members, it was a thunder raining Saturday and I had just donated 450ml blood in that afternoon. Feel so weak and sleepy and because of the rain, CY asked Fishy whether can we just cancel the affinity group time. I was happy for very few seconds as I thought, "thank God, if the affinity group postponed, then I can just continue to sleep!" By the way, that's just a flash of thought and after that, Fishy get me to deal with CY.

Thank God we had a great affinity group time that day. I thanked God that He didn't listen to my thought! Although that day we just have CY only as the rest of the group members suddenly said cannot make it, but the time spent was really meaningful. We had a intellectual and deep talk in the process of making and baking the cake and had the opportunity to know CY more.

And few days ago, I saw a weird FB status posted by CY, and after that I came to know she had some conflict with her roommate. I told her I will pray for her and I know here comes the time for me to help her in other way. Dated her for lunch together with Sakura this afternoon and she told us the problem arise between herself and the roommate.

We did give her some suggestions and told her we will continue to pray for her. And I promise her I will help her to do the DISC personal assessment so that she can know herself more and to know her roommate more. We went to buy some vege and when I pick her to cook together after I am off from work, she told me that her roommate started to talk to her! She felt surprise and overjoyed as her roommate didn't talk to her for days already.

We cooked together for our dinner and she had her DISC personal assessment. She came to know more about herself as well as her roommate. Anyway, I got a strong feeling that she will becomes a Christian very soon as she experienced that God is exist and God opened the door for her.

Let's pray for her so that she will accept the living God, Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour soon! Cheers! :)

When You Believe

God doesn't promise that for those who believes in Him, can have everything done smoothly without any obstacles and challenges but God promised that He will be with us in whatever we do and wherever we go.

God gave me a different road in my postgraduate life. First, I experienced the moment to get the PhD offer but pulled back by the University because of the pointer is not up to the newly adjusted requirement. But end up I got the offer at last still.

Second, I experienced the "rejection" from MyBrain15 scholarship just because my field of study is not under their consideration. And I am now still waiting for Zamalah UTM's scholarship to be processed yet I have to clear the debts (my tuition fee actually).. Don't have much saving now but I can save up again slowly.

I am sure God is still taking care of me up there and I believe that He is preparing something better for me! God's grace is still enough because I didn't lose weight at all but GAIN WEIGHT!! hahaha..

Gotta be strong physically and mentally! It's not easy but by the grace of God, I can handle it well! Cheers!

a little story of a little girl..

Hi guys, am back after M.I.A. for sooooooo long! (: Anyway, today is a special day as my block got no water supply since last night?! No!! I mean that's just an interlude but it doesn't drive me to write this post anyhow :D

Hmm yeah, so today is actually a little girl's birthday. I know the girl but just...... not so familiar with her but.. she is the MAIN ROLE of the post today! *deng deng deng deng*

To me, music is life and music is like oxygen.. But.. Have you ever ask yourself what really M.U.S.I.C. meant to you? I bet you don't.. and so am I.. Although there were a lot of obstacles when I want to learn new instruments.. A lot of tears and sacrifices, but I don't think I am so passionate if compare to the little girl.. I don't feel myself is VERY fortunate and blessed until I know her story..

A little girl who likes piano a lot and really wish to have one.. But her mommy said it won't be useful to the little girl.. The father felt pity to his little daughter as the father knows the impact of music can change the little girl's life.. And the father really wanted to fulfil his daughter's wish! And you know what.. The father told the little girl saying, daddy will get a keyboard and a teacher for you but she said, it's ok daddy, I will learn it by watching to Youtube's videos! Oh boy! My heart was aching when I heard the story. Her passionate is much stronger than mine who explore music since 5 years old!! I feel guilty as I think I should cherish the opportunities that God given to me in this field..

So yeah.. That's the little story of the little girl.. I really wish I could help the little to fulfil her dream also as.. Blessed is the one who give than receive isn't it? And by sharing my knowledge in music, can build a little girl to a better person, why not?! :D Last but not least, I would like to wish the little girl to have a blessed birthday and I pray that God will listen to her little prayer and grant her what she wants in her life! Happy birthday girl!

Things happened on me seems D.R.A.M.A.T.I.C.!!

Can't believe my Faculty just called me and asking me to go for an interview this Friday, 9am. At least I am given a chance to present my idea before they pull back the offer..

Dr Roziana said they won't pull back but they just wanna follow the procedure and there was some miscommunication arise.. So yeah, this Friday.. will be the day!

Feel so happy and I thank God that He is with me.. He never leave me and never forsake me!

*believe in LOVE, you will see miracle!* Indeed! I feel like wanna sing *I FEEL GOOD* out loud and also JOY TO THE WORLD!!!

Thank you so much for all of you who prayed for me and all the encouragement! Blessed to have you all in life. I won't forget the kindness and I promise that I will "pass it on" this good deeds whenever possible!!

Don't worry. You are not in dream! Can't believe but it's true!

ARGH!!!!!!!! Finally can pack up happily to go UTHM for performance!!!

Lastly, I would like to share with you guys that, GOD WORKS IN WAY THAT EXTRAORDINARY!!! He is the real God.. Nothing can be that real other than HIM!!!

It has been a long process from the day I apply the course until the day I got the offer letter. Worries and uncertainties accompanied but XT kept reminding me to trust that God will lead. I was overjoyed when I got the offer letter and I was really relieved at the moment..

I was in "excited mode" and really looking forward for the registration day until this morning I got a call from School of Graduate Studies, UTM saying they have to pull back the offer as my own faculty's Deputy Dean asked them to do so due to my CGPA was not meet the requirement.. (they just adjust the entry CGPA from 3.5 to 3.7 in fact)

IT'S REALLY A BIG JOKE FOR ME!!!

What a sudden pull back! Later that, my office - the studio was in "mourning" mode.. Syawal keep quiet as he saw the silly girl's tears keep dropping! aiyoyo! I was like helpless at that time.. I cried for few hours until the tears dried by itself..

Contacted my dearest supervisor and she suggest me to write in personally to the Dean to appeal.. Nothing much I can do so I just write an appeal letter.. Pray that I am able to see the Dean once he back from raya's holiday..

A big "faith" lesson for me this time! I choose to trust Him! Even in this circumstance. I want to praise Him as He grant me this opportunity to experience His mighty power! Although my eyes is still very wet now, but my heart had cried out that, I BELIEVE IN YOU, JESUS! and I will still love YOU!

I do not know what will happen next but oh Lord, Have Your Way In ME!!!

I believe in the love of Jesus Christ, and I believe I will see M.I.R.A.C.L.E.! Go Jess Go!

Finally I have some motivation to start my research proposal today and today is Ah Lem's birthday so me and Monica plan to give her a S.U.R.P.R.I.S.E.! hoho..

I asked to join me for lunch as I will be cooking and she is so |C|U|T|E|, she passes me her rice (left just a little bit) and 1 biji of egg and ask me to finish it as she will be back to her hometown after her exam..

So our plan is to buy a small (one piece) cake for her.. and have luncheon meat (not sure whether she misses pork or not), jiu cai fried egg and seaweed soup as lunch.. Oh ya! and my pandan rice..

Hope everything will be tasty! and really hope that we can really bless her in this special day! hoho.. Can't wait!

Somehow I got a strong feeling that what I'll need to go through is not that easy as I can think of and it might be the other way round than what people expected. Heart must be S.T.R.O.N.G.

Am I ready to face all the circumstances and challenges? I do not know because I thought I am ready but somehow I become so called 'chicken' when I gotta step a big big step. Heart must be S.T.R.O.N.G.

1 day before my 23rd birthday

Oh Lord, heal me please. I suffered diarrhea since yesterday and my stomach is not feeling well for the whole day and today, my stomach kept cramping when I was conducting 1st Aid classes during parade. It was so painful..!

I have no appetite when having the most famous duck rice in Skudai with my mother and you know what my mom said? She said the dishes seem not that tasty as no one grab with her! I didn't finish the rice and yeah, really not feeling well! I slept all the way from Skudai to my home and continue to sleep when back to my home sweet home.

I found out I am having fever after 3 hours of sleep. My head is like got 1 ton of stone in it.. Very heavy and its aching! Argh.. Yesterday my sweet young brother just congratulate me that I didn't fall sick this year during my birthday but well.. the disaster came later.. hoho

I think there will have no special celebration for this year birthday as papa is not at home and since I am sick, I think the best meal for me now will be plain porridge with fried eggs radish!

Oh Lord, heal me please..

Many people asking my update now and yeah, I've finish my Bachelor of Science (Human Resource Development) and my convocation will be on the last week of September 2011. Praise the Lord that I might not able to graduate with 1st class honor but indeed I experienced a lot of grace from God along the way. It's not that easy as I think before I enter university but by God's grace, I've successfully finish this 3 years course.

Moving forward.. I am currently preparing my research proposal to further study in September. A lot of things to read in order to come out a proper and decent proposal and also, I got to use the same proposal to apply MyBrain15 or Zamalah's scholarship. Pray that I can get either one :)

Other than that, I am also taking Student Working Scheme and work under Unit Kebudayaan UTM while preparing my research proposal in UTM. Time to have fun with instruments, performances, songs writing and everything related to seni budaya.

I think that's what I've now and yeah.. Am counting down for.. *ehem* Oops! I should keep the secret! Cheers!

By the way, final exam is getting nearer. No more fun but have to be serious! My current CGPA is just 3.60. I need to strive for first class as I wish to get PhD offer straight after my degree. Oh Lord, please help me~

It seems hard to believe but I did it!

I've just finish 884x skipping together with my 2 favorite songs of Aizat. Record as per following:

Song no.1 - Kau Aku (4.15) > 460x

Song no.2 - Susun Silang Kata (4.00) > 424x

Can't believe I did it as both of the songs' tempo are quite fast. Don't believe? Try to skip by following the tempo. Hehe.

Journey of Violin (Lesson 1)

Finally had the very first official violin lesson this morning together with Syawal and teacher, Dr Fong.

Violin seems very easy to play but to me, it's a hard stuff! ahaks! Used one day to hold the bow correctly and I had watched some videos before the official lesson started (we called it distance learning)

There are some small things that I never think about but many thanks to 'problem student' of Dr Fong, Mr Syawal, I learned the correct standing position. hehe.

Anyway, the lesson this morning was just the starting of the journey. I can predict there still a long way to go.

A new journey for me to learn up violin for FESKUM 2010.

Instead of Accordion or Peti Harmonium, I decided to take violion at last.

Maybe because I got the desire to learn since long ago,

That's why when it comes to decision,

I've choose violin.

Going to share some random pics with you all as well as it's story..

Yeah! A simple pre birthday celebration together with another 3 coursemates... I think this is really my first time to celebrate my birthday organized by friends since born. Sounds exaggerate but it's true la. ahaksz... Anyway, I enjoyed the dinner and again, the Secret Recipe's Chocolate Banana cake. It's not my favorite cake but it has been stick with me for 2 years already. haha.

And this, the BEST university Orchestra - Orchestra UTM. haha. I am one of them full time pianist, synthesizernist and part time percussionist :) U.K. (Unit Kebudayaan) is the place that I can really release stress. Don't believe? You can try it out. hehe.

This girl, her name is Matahariku! You know why? Because the first time i know her, she was singing Matahariku. And she is really a good singer. Just pity she is going graduate soon.. But dont worry matahariku, I will still remember you :)

The next.. Ahaha.. He is not my BF but is someone really important in Orchestra.. He is Arshad, a very talented drummer! wuuuiit! Hmm.. Do keep him in prayer as he has some difficulty to join our practice.. Pray that he will be available to join us back soon!

Was chatting with two of my friends lately.. God placed some unlovable people around us.. What they did is really make us felt annoying.. But this is time to practice Christ like.. No matter how angry we are.. We still have to be patient.. It isn't easy.. It won't be easy if we rely on ourself.. So friends, let us draw strength from God ok? :)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Liza invites me to take part in their prayer training on Nov 28. There is no reason for me to reject this invitation as one of my reason to be here is to learn things and also serve people here.

She gave me JD and there is a scripture written there, "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men." Col 3:23. This scripture encourages me and i do hope it will be my motivation to serve God for the rest of my life.

The journey to serve God will be never easy. I mean it won't be easy but i think i am choosing the right path, don't you think so? :) more things to come. Pray that I'll have enough strength to face all the challenges. May God continue to bless Joyce and me! Cheers!

Time flies. Finally finish my final exam for this semester. Meaning, I finish my 1st semester of 2nd year studies already. Surprisingly, I went through the hard time again. Praise the Lord.

When I look back to this exam period, I realize that God is guiding and leading me moment by moment. Can you imagine besides study for exam, I need to follow up 2 new born Christians? Spent more than 10 hours per day study in library yet still need to follow both of them when back to hostel and thank God that we able to finish 6 discipleship sessions in 2 weeks time. The speed is faster than the usual discipleship as normally we do 6 sessions in 6 weeks. If it’s not God’s grace, we won’t be able to achieve it.

I am not showing off here how great Jessalynn is but wish to share with you all how great is our God. How He provides what I need and even more than what I asked for. Besides exams and discipleship, I was raising support for my coming Manila ministry exposure trip as well. Another distractive for me as I kept thinking where the financial supports will comes from. The nearer the departure date is, the more anxious I am. But I kept telling myself that, God’s provision is always sufficient although I got no idea where to start, I mean the fund rising. God is the provider. He is. As up to yesterday, I raise more than what is required. Praise the Lord as He is worthy of our praise!

I am just finish my very last paper, which is also my weakest subject – statistic. But I thank God that He placed someone who is kind hearted and with patient to help me in my studies. Really appreciate her help. Will remember your McD 

Finally, for your information, I will be heading to PJ on this coming Friday and will depart to Manila, Philippines on coming Sunday morning. Will be away for 3 weeks but I will try to update my learning there when I am able to do so. I will always keep you guys in prayer. May God bless you.

Just finish follow up #4 with them. I break my record actually which is to have 4 times of follow up in a week. And surprisingly one of them found a good opportunity and tried to share the 'good news' with another girl. Transferred vision to them already yet I hope they will own the vision as soon as possible and of course, they can continue to build movement everywhere! Let us cheers for God's work!

Was having follow up #2 with Ms X and another girl last night.. Although Ms X got ton of questions but I tried my best to answer her.. Had a simple praise and worship time with them after follow up.. Somehow i remember a friend of mine always told me.. Every song its a blessing.. Now only i understand.. Will have follow up #3 with them on sunday night.. Continue to pray for me so that i have wisdom from God to help both of them to grow in Christ.. Cheers!

I felt very excited since the moment she (we call her Ms X) text me saying, “Jessalynn, I have open the door (her heart in fact) to Jesus.. I am so happy and very peaceful now..” It’s a blessing and big bonus to me in this semester you know.

It was a very special night to me 2 months ago that I had chance to start an affinity group with a movie, Facing the Giant. There were many uncertainties that night and I was really worried but surprisingly, God led the whole night event. We had 10+ persons squeeze in my course mate’s room with LCD projector and a woofer. Audio and visual were very nice but it was hot. I felt uneasy there but God granted rain after 10 minutes of the show. The show is about 2 hours and that night only I got to know many of them need to attend a meeting right after the movie. But my plan is actually have a sharing after the movie. So I asked Pooi San how. She told me it’s ok. Maybe we just build relationship with them first. End up, after the movie, everyone felt lazy to attend the meeting and some of them stay in the room and start to talk about some scenes in the movie. They been inspired and touched by the movie and I had chance to really sit down and talk about religion to Ms X that night until 1am plus. She doesn’t accept Christ that time as she was struggling with some family issues.

Brought Ms X to MAPs Panti Climb during Deepavali and I had chance to talked to her again 2 days ago. She came to my room initiatively and starts to talk about how she felt during and after the climbing. She prayed to God saying, if You really exist, please help me to go up to the peak and downhill safely. God protected her all the way and she knows this God really exists. Yet she has much confusion that time. That’s why she came to me. After long sharing, I got the right chance to share 4SL with her. Again, she stops me at the prayer part. She has many questions in her head like what will happen if I am a Christian? How am I going to tell my family? What if my parent gets me to pray to their god? She left my room with much of struggles.

When she went back her room, she told her roommate her feeling and confusion. Her roommate prays for her and she got peace of mind. Somehow she felt the presence of God and led her to do the prayer (that I taught her during 4SL sharing). She was very excited and shares with her roommate and another girl until 5am something. The whole day we were studying in library and the excitement is filled our heart. It seems unbelievable but God works is always beyond our imagination. After back from library and birthday celebration with 2 girls, we were very tiring already yet she wants to continue follow up session. She desires to know God more and I do pray that God grant me wisdom to help her grow in Christ as well as she can be the multiplier ;)

Ms X is brave enough to step out the step of faith. Please continue to pray for her so that her living testimony can influence her family members. May the healer in heaven heal her mother’s sickness because God had promise that when she believes in Jesus, she will be the blessings to her family. If you have chance, you must listen to her story. I really can’t imagine she was a rebellion girl when she was in primary and secondary school. The stories were very funny but it was true and touching story. When Ms X and I looked back together, we realize that it was blessings and all is grace. Really hope to introduce Ms X to you all here but pity she chooses to make it low profile but well, will have chance one. I got to go library to continue revision for exam tomorrow. See you.

I thank God that walked with me for the whole BOIC aka Camp D'Adventure. 4 times of setbacks and somehow it seems like me a lot cos kept pestering me again and again but it reminds me again that human is limited, only our God is perfect.

Talk about MAPs for more than one year but when I personally experienced how people share gospel through adventure program, I was impressed. This is not just a simple sharing but can be something impact in people’s life. From simplest games to the most challenging activity, I can see the effectiveness of sharing gospel through adventure program.

I had quite 9 years didn’t swim already and have a little phobia with deep water which I cannot see the bottom of the water but this time I was asked to jump into the water. Of course there is fear, but when I’m willing to take up another step of faith, God lets me enjoy the activity in water much and overcome my fear which I never tell anybody ;)

Overall, I have witness how God use MAPs in bringing the lost to Christ. Good job, MAPs! Keep the fire burning as i believe God will use this ministry to reach out more people. Cheers!

Just finish short devotion for today and God speaks to me. It’ll be very pity if I just keep it by myself and not sharing with others. So please read this post from the top to the bottom ya. ;)

If you are on msn recently, I bet you are up to date for my news right. I am preparing an adventure camp since months ago. It seems like an easy job as I just need coordinate between MAPs and CLC but along the way, I experienced God again and again.

When I first started to plan this camp with the other party, we come to a consensus which we are targeting for 20 participants. When I share this thing with my CLC people, soon I got 6 participants including myself, Yi Wen, Elvin and also 3 staffs. After much of prayer and effort putting, we got one more which is Boon Hwi’s friend. Time flies yet our registered participants remain 7. It makes me start to worry. What if I can’t get at least 10 participants? What if I can’t fulfill the agreement made?

We decided to come to God again, ask for His grace and mercy. Soon, Christina brought me good news. She said she got people registered straight from her. Wow. It sounds great. This guy was rejecting me when I approach him. God answered prayer. He finally decided to join us. Yet, I have just 8 participants. It still a gap between what we are targeted.

Nothing much I can do you know when I sent out all the invitations through facebook and SMS. Replies back but all are not I want. I came back to God again. I know without Him, I can’t do anything. One day, I got good news from MAPs again. 2 MCCC staffs from Sabah decided to come to join us. I really can’t imagine that even staffs from Sabah will come too. It’s very excited to me you know. *God is so good to me*

After that, I got the 11th which is my basketball kaki plus blockmate. She didn’t ask for her parent’s permission and registered first. Haha. And when I asked her, she said she don’t know why she did like that too. I think that is God leading, you agree? And we prayed for the 12th for at least one week, and I found Ah Kang at church after our church service finish last Sunday. He doesn’t know much about this camp but agree to join. See, God always provide beyond what we can imagine right?

Last night, when I was in platoon C meeting, I got a message from Jerry, he suddenly withdraw for the camp. It’s a bad news for me but that time I don’t feel sad. Seriously. Because I know the God I trust is bigger than my problem. At this moment, I have to be strong and stand firm in God cos everything happened is still in His control. I strongly believe He will lead.

Although I haven’t get anyone to be the 12th, but I believe God have His time. And when I devote just now, God speaks to me through Revelation 3: 7-8. “These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. I know your deeds. See. I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”

I strongly believe that God have His plan on me, He has lesson for me to learn.
*oh Lord, no matter how You lead, I will still love you.*

Maths Industry 1st year student.

I know her after join SUKAM basketball team.

Very talented player and lovable.

You must be wondering why she is my daughter right?

Actually the story is like that.

We went for celebration after won 2 games of basketball.

And due to there are too many juniors there so as a senior,

I serve them for the meal.

Maybe I looked and acted too motherly and this kid miss her mother so much,

So address me as mummy since that day until now =]

...

Thanks to this girl's effort,

Else we won't be able to win bronze during intercollege basketball match.

Also thanks to other team player too.

It was my very 1st time to get involve in basketball.

And able to hang on until the end.

And thank God that i got 2 bronzes in intercollege sports for paintball and basketball.

People suggest me to take part in Kayak so that i can get at least a GOLD during my university time =]

After week of hard training of basket ball.
Slimmer? A lil only.
Still got ROOM of improvement. ;)

This afternoon got basket ball match again for SUKAM
As well as friday.
Will have paint ball semifinal match on sunday.
Looking forward for it.
Really hope that we got chance to fight to the final level.
Thank God that put me into this team.
Lot of understanding peoples.
And yeah. We maximize our teamwork as well. ;)

Schedule is FULL for this 2 weeks.
Not only because of SUKAM,
but also because of study, assignments and presentation.
Oh yeah. for sure because of CLC also la. hehe

Seems like many things are waiting for me.
I will update more once i got nothing to do. =]

I just passed my pre driving test this morning. 90/100. ;) Before that was KINDA nervous as my teaching uncle keep scolding me when learn to drive. Confident all lost. But after pray to God and receive encouragements from family and friends, battery seems become full again. :) and i've passed the test! Thank God for His grace and mercy. Hope i can pass my real exam on 15 July too. Keep me in your prayer always ya :) kam siah kam siah..

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.

One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.

The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by . Although the other man could not hear the band, he could see it in his mind s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days, weeks and months passed. One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. He was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window. The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.

She said, 'Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.'

Epilogue: There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.

If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy.

went Grand Paragon Hotel to perform last night for Mutiara Motors event with UTM's orchestra people. Heard that the highest level of the hotel got a sky lounge so we went up to take a look.

Sarcastically, this is what we saw. *sky lounge*

Exchange story telling part #2

We went for Discovery Center on the first afternoon. What we discovered is nothing much actually. But I learned something at least. Run here and there like crazy for a game but its fun. ;)

Then, we went for dragon boating on the 2nd morning. Before that, it was a physical training in the morning. Saying that it will be like stretching session before dragon boating but end of the story, it was like army physical training =.= Well. I didn’t join the boating session as need to take video for them. I bet it is much easier than kayak lo. Hehe.

At night, we went east coast for night cycling expedition. I don’t know how long is the distance that we had ride but it was about 6 hours. Before I went this exchange, I told boonkiat that I don’t want to ride but he insists I must ride together. Well. I give myself a challenge, that’s to ride from starting point to the end. Thank God that I did it at last. Have a minor accident but I didn’t get injured ;) The challenging thing during this expedition is not that I have to ride but I have to look after members too at the same time. Although butts very painful even now still, but I enjoyed the whole process. Seriously. If got chance, I want to try double sit’s bike. It looks romantic man.. *hint hint* ;)

I went for exchange program with BBS 44th Company at Fu Chun Secondary last Friday to Sunday. And of course there is something that I would like to share with all of you. For this part 1, I would like to share with you my thoughts after visit SAFTI.

SAFTI Military Institute derives its name from the former Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute whose acronym -SAFTI -became a household word amongst Singaporeans in the years following its establishment on 14 February 1966 at Pasir Laba Camp. The retention of the term

'SAFTI' -no longer as an acronym but as a name in itself -for the Military Institute, reflects our close links with the old SAFTI. Our traditions of excellence, discipline and tough training started there, and they remain today, as part of our heritage.

The old SAFTI had many commendable and distinct goals, all conceived and designed to build and forge a modern, strong and capable SAF. However, by the 1980s, as the SAF expanded rapidly, SAFTI's training facilities were no longer sufficient to cope with the increasing demands of officer training. At the same time, as the SAF came of age, there was a growing recognition of the need for greater integration in the training of officers from the three Services. Hence, the construction of the SAFTI Military Institute, and its official opening on 25 August 1995.

Our guide was a retired soldier. Although he looks old, but he seems in full energy while introduce SAFTI to us. When looking at the banner in a transparent window, there is something cross my mind.

A friend of mine is an army too. He’s life are not easy. I mean army’s life is not easy. Although he always said that be an army in Malaysia is not a tough as there is no war in Malaysia and even if it is, they just click the bomb button very far away. But the training of an army is not easy. Can you imagine a guy, need to tidy his bed every day and stretch his bed until when you drop a coin on it, the coin will have elasticity. Personal hygiene always has to be in tidy condition. No much holiday like us and etc. I seriously respect this friend who is so brave to be an army. *salute*

Woke up at 4 to continue study undang’s book as I was unable to finish it before energy drop to 0 last night.. Uncle fetch us at 0750 straight away to go the exam venue.. I supposed to finish read the whole book from JPJ and 500 exercise questions but end up I just able to finish the book and 300 questions nia.. Wakao.. SooOoooO many questions make me blur and the book got lots or errors and mistakes..

Fine.. That’s not my topic today.. Something more interesting is coming.. Woohoo..

After the clerk open up the venue, we just follow her to go upstairs.. After submit IC, Jeremy and I were standing for waiting not far away.. The clerk working didn’t say anything.. After awhile.. Got another clerk came in.. She was late by the way.. Asked both of us.. Why not take a sit.. And I answered her, its ok.. Come on.. I was trying to be nice but you know how she replied? She said, you ok but I am not ok.! The way she talks.. Make me feel that.. Maybe her aunty is visiting her.. Wakaka.. Not feeling good after kena scolded but I prayed immediately.. May Holy Spirit filled me so that I won’t affect by the clerk..

Finally.. I passed the test with 48/50.. So happy.. The reason I was so nervous is because I had a nightmare last night.. I dreamed that I failed the test.. That’s why I was kinda nervous..

After the test, rush to BERJAYA straight for pre L license class at 9.. Unfortunately we were late but thank God that class hasn’t start yet ;) Had 3 hours theory class and the teacher was very very nice.. *ehem* for you information, Jessalynn knows how to change tyre already.. Woohoo!!! Had first 3 hours driving lesson after that theory.. Kena scolded thousands time but well.. That’s normal.. Isn’t it?

Well.. No matter how.. God protects me from an accident actually.. So I am having a thankful heart right now.. And yeah.. My birthday present will be delivered tonight.. So double joyful now..

时间过得很快，两个礼拜的短宣在时间慢慢流逝的情况下终于结束了。心情是开心的，但也包括少许的伤感。开心是因为终于可以恢复正常的饮食生活，而伤感的就是要和队员们各分西东了。

今年的I Connect 是我第一次以大学生的身份参加。感觉还蛮不错的。哈哈。当然，这一次我又再次回到Music Team 里服事。其中包括我有5位去年同队的队员。另外有三位是这届才参与我们的弟兄姐妹。

其实，其他参加者应该都只是收拾好行李和心情就来参加这次的短宣，而我还有朝燕在今年的三月就开始收集，寻找一些我们可能会用到的歌曲，网搜琴谱，吉他谱和原曲的mp3，然后发送给有意来面试的弟兄姐妹，让他们可以先熟悉一些的歌曲。

在短宣的第一阶段里，我们面对了重重的挑战。一方面是因为一些新队员的加入，要很快地和他们‘click’，另外我们还需要安排整个音乐布道会的程序，要背歌，要背谱等等等。

除此之外，我们也必须‘戒口’全部煎炸，油腻，辛辣和吃了会发热气的食物。对第一次加入的队员们来说是一个很大的诱惑，不过去年在参加过了的队员就还算经得起考验。=] 也要借此机会向各位澄清的就是，Callie完全是为了我们健康的缘故才会要我们戒口，他的用心良苦虽然被一些人解读成刻薄，但是对我们来说，其实他帮了我们很多。还记得去年的I connect，我们整队人都病倒了，喝了一大堆苦茶还不能完全康复，也间接的阻碍了我们不能好好服事，所以我们也经一事，长一智的吸取了教训，不敢乱来了。虽然Callie是我姑姑，但是他却不曾偏袒我，每个队员犯错都会得到一样的待遇，当然也包括我，由此可见，她真的是一个正直的人。

在这次的短宣里，我们一直都在经历上帝丰盛的恩典。因为他在整个过程中都保守我们大多数的人有健康的身体，更是让我们整队的人都能相处得很愉快。练习过程中的小插曲让我们的默契一点一滴的再增加。

很开心能再次和即将大学毕业的赐齐(阿齐)，朝燕(曹妈)，慧青(阿青)，还有多一年就要毕业了的锡泉 (wild blue berry jam)配搭，更开心的事能认识美琪(Elizabeth)和伟雄(Shawn)。对了，还有阿伯文明。当然还有功不没的大姑，你煮的东西实在太好吃了。

最最最最最不可忘得当然是一直在保守我们的上帝，愿一切荣耀都归给他。

期待大家生命里的火，不会因为I Connect的结束而停止燃烧，把爱散播给身边的人，而是以神的爱为根基，继续照亮，且点燃其他人的生命。

一，感谢神的带领让我在第一场的音乐布道会中有机会和Apple分享四律。感谢主！因为她当时接受了主。在大学传福音的日子，好像已经好久好久没有机会分享完整本四律了，所以超开心的。=]

二，有个老师在去年我参加I youth是曾误会我带坏他的女儿，反对我联络他女儿参与属灵倍增的的造就，竟然在他学校开始christian fellowship。很不可思议吧！短短的一年里，神，改变了人心。谢谢jared把这好消息告诉我。听了很感动，眼泪不襟然的落下…

三，不久前信主的学生，在整个I connect和I youth venture的结训后跑来跟我说他想两年后也来参加I youth venture。有点意外，但我相信这是神的带领，请继续为他代祷，真的希望两年后他仍然有如此的感动。

Finally finish exam already..
It's a tough time for me..
But i enjoy it..
Especially found some friends who have same study way with me..
I work very hard this time..
Can said harder then last semester..
Hope can get better result..
Hope my PhD dream can still be carried on..

Thought can relax after exam..
But wake up at 715 this morning to tidy up all my notes..
Going to be other people's senior already..
So need to tidy up all the notes so that can pass to junior..

Looking forward to new semester as i am going to "upgrade" to be 2SHR student..
Wow.. Sound so nice.. Right?
But before that..
I am looking forward to my 21st birthday too..
Still have no idea how to celebrate as my coursemate all balik kampung already..

Went for NGO drill competition this morning.

Platoon B (Commander: Lilian Wong)

Platoon A (Commander: Ang Wen Chain)

Platoon C (Commander: Heng Hui Chin)

For the girls' competition, Platoon A won the champion and best commander while Platoon C got 1st runner up..

But good news today is..
Our company will select the best members to form a team for the next level which is state level competition at Kluang on 5th May..
So girls, if you are interested, please work hard ya.. =]

Unity Night (Malam Perpaduan) had been held on 3rd April 2009.

What can I say is, that’s not so easy from the beginning until the end of the event. From the preparation till the event was holding, surprises keep popping out, and it’s the time for every one of us to grow.
